MONTANE SPINE RACE
Twice a year, OP 9 director Ryan Lovejoy is tasked with creating daily update videos for the notorious Spine Race. They have 2 main events; the Winter Spine, and the Summer Spine. It’s considered one of the toughest foot races in the world, covering a total distance of 268 miles along the Pennine Way, a rugged trail that runs up the backbone of England. Creating the daily update videos is a formidable task, one that requires precision, efficiency, and relentless determination, as each video is filmed and meticulously edited the same day, for 8 days straight.
